The Fine Print

Source of Materials
The items contained in the Virtual Library are obtained from various sources.  Collections of articles have been scanned and stored in Adobe Acrobat format, sometimes in Microsoft Word format, and most often in the form of graphic files.  Websites about enclaves are captured using software "trawler" programs that work much like the site capture software used to assemble indexes of web materials such as Google, Northernlight, and similar search engines.   Interesting items captured online that add to the substance of the Virtual Library are incorporated into the "shelves" of material here.  Original travel anthologies contributed by authors are also to be found alongside contributions of material from exclave affecionados and political geographers.

Because exclave and enclave related websites come and go, and depend in the long run on the financial wherewithall of their webmasters, complete websites are captured and stored off-line, to have an archival record of sites.  It's the Virtual Library collection of "out-of-print" books or the "antiquariat", as it were.   Copies of discontinued websites can be made available on CD on request.
